Privacy Policy

This page explains what LeanFry collects, why, and the choices you have. It is maintained by the app owner and is not a legal certification.

What we collect

Account: email address and (if you use Google sign-in) your Google account identifier.
Preferences: weight-loss goal, dietary tags, allergies you set during onboarding.
Activity in the app: favorites, meal-plan entries, recipe notes, forum posts and replies, and optional progress-tracking weigh-ins.
Billing: handled by our payment processor. We store your subscription tier and status; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request time) used to operate and secure the Service.

How we use it

Personalize the recipe library to your goal, diet, and allergies.
Provide account features: favorites, planner, notes, progress charts, community.
Process your subscription and send transactional email (receipts, account changes).
Detect abuse and keep the community forum safe.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your progress data or recipe notes to train third-party AI models.

Who processes data for us

Hosting & database: our cloud infrastructure provider stores account, preference, and activity data.
Authentication: email/password and Google sign-in.
Payments: our payment processor handles card data and subscription billing directly.
Transactional email: for receipts and account notifications.

Your choices

Edit or clear your dietary preferences and allergies from the onboarding page at any time.
Delete individual favorites, planner entries, notes, forum posts, or progress entries from within the app.
Cancel your subscription from your account page.
Request account deletion by emailing us — we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Cookies and analytics

LeanFry uses only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your session. If we add product analytics, we will update this page and, where required, ask for consent.

Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Cancelled accounts are retained for a limited period so you can resubscribe without losing your favorites, plans, notes, and progress history, and are then deleted on request or according to our retention schedule.

Children

LeanFry is intended for users 18 and older. It is not designed for children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Security

Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider. Access to user data is scoped per user through row-level security policies. No system is perfectly secure — if you notice a vulnerability, please email us before disclosing it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when features change. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
